City of Wonder

A Vision for Immersive Storytelling at the Intersection of Science, Art, and Technology

Introduction

City of Wonder was conceived as an interactive digital experience designed to celebrate Bradford’s emergence as a hub for creativity, innovation, and cultural diversity. Commissioned by a leading museum in collaboration with Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture, this project aimed to explore how sound and vision technologies have transformed our physical and virtual worlds.

The team behind the project included Tanya Vital, Alex Chisholm, Dave Lynch, Imran Ali, Richard England, Tarique Naseem, David Girdlestone, Faisal Mushtaq, Mark Mon-Williams, and Tim Rogers. As Creative Director of Immersive Narrative and Audience Engagement, Tanya Vital played a key role in shaping the vision for an experiential environment that would inspire wonder and push creative boundaries. Though the project reached the tender stage, its ambitious scope reflects Vital Culture UK’s commitment to redefining storytelling through technology.
