Introduction

Bradford Digital Creatives is a transformative initiative empowering young people to share their stories through digital art. Supported by Bradford 2025, Bradford Council, and Arts Council England, this project equips students with the skills and confidence to shape the future of storytelling.

Over two years, more than 1,200 teenagers from six schools across Bradford will collaborate with professional digital artists to create 360-degree videos, audio storytelling, and video games. These works will culminate in a public showcase as part of the Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture celebrations.

Led by Tanya Vital; Founder & CEO of Vital Culture UK. With over 20 years of experience in TV, film, and digital storytelling, Tanya is a creative producer dedicated to empowering young creators. Her vision? To show students they don’t need permission to create—just ideas, collaboration, and determination.

What We Do

As the lead facilitator for the project, Vital Culture UK delivers:

  • Workshops & Events: Hands-on sessions in schools, teaching digital storytelling, video production, and emerging technologies.

  • Digital Art Services: Support for creating original media using accessible tools like iPads, CapCut, and iMovie.

  • Summer Festival 2025: A celebration of participants’ achievements, showcasing the transformative power of digital creativity.

Why It Matters

  • Skill Development: Students gain foundational skills in digital storytelling, video production, and creative problem-solving—skills applicable to careers in marketing, journalism, game design, and beyond.

  • Confidence & Aspirations: Participants report increased confidence and a desire to continue creating after the workshops.

  • Community Engagement: Strengthening ties between schools, local organisations, and the broader creative community.
